Richardson to play for Eagles
Black Rock High School standout Chris Richardson is going to play baseball for Williams Baptist College. Richardson signed his commitment with the Eagles Wednesday at WBC. Richardson, who lives at Walnut Ridge, was a center fielder and pitcher for BRHS. He was an All-State pick his senior year and an All-Conference selection the past three seasons. He had a .340 batting average this year and, although weather allowed only 16 games this season, he had 20 stolen bases as well as 66 strikeouts in only 40 innings. He is the son of Tom and Kelly Richardson of Walnut Ridge. Taking part in his signing were his parents and WBC assistant coach Frank Lee. The Eagles are coached by John Katrosh, and they compete in the American Midwest Conference of the NAIA.
