Moseley announces
candidacy for Dist. 73

Chad Moseley has officially announced his candidacy and the beginning of his campaign for the office of state representative, District 73. Moseley resides in Walnut Ridge with his wife, Kimberly, and their two daughters, Reagan and Marisa.

Moseley said his qualifications include work in county government and with the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, along with many years of public service. He is a public school social studies teacher.

"With rising unemployment and a declining population in our area, there is no doubt that we are in desperate need of new leadership and a new direction," said Moseley. "Real reform is needed, and will happen as our community comes together to make a stand against the things that have been working against us.

"I want to help our community by building better roads and reducing input costs on our farmers. I will work to reduce our tax burden by fighting to cut wasteful government spending," he said. "Doing this will not only help the citizens of Arkansas, but will make us more attractive to businesses."

Moseley said as an educator, he believes the state has allowed the problems with our education system to linger for far too long. "I will take the same drive and ambition I have used as a public school teacher to the State House to combat those educational policies that have proven ineffective.

"I feel that taking these issues head on will bring jobs to our area, and in turn, money to our pockets," said Moseley. "My ultimate goal is to make this community a better place for our children.

"I hope the voters of district 73 will hear my Christian conservative values, be open to my ideas and see me as the person who can bring a positive difference to our area," he said.

Moseley will be hosting a campaign kickoff fund-raiser Friday from 6-9 p.m. at 116 West Main Street in Walnut Ridge.

The public is invited to attend. There will be free food and an opportunity to speak with Moseley.
