Rorex is All-Star Jordan Rorex Walnut Ridge Lady Bobcat softball player Jordan Rorex has been selected for the 2008 All-Star Softball Game. She will be playing on the East Team. Rorex will leave Sunday for Fayetteville, where she will be spending the week on the University of Arkansas campus. She will begin practice on Monday, and the game will be played on Wednesday, June 18. Rorex, a recent graduate of Walnut Ridge High School, was also selected to participate in the Junior All Star Classic at Conway last year. She was also named All-Conference all four years as a Lady Bobcat and has received the Outstanding Hitter Award, Defense Award and Miss Bobcat Award. "It's really exciting," Rorex said of being selected for the game. She said she is a little nervous, though, because she does not know any of the other players on the team. Rorex is the daughter of D.G. and Celena Rorex of Walnut Ridge. Walnut Ridge's softball coach is Cliff Rorex.
