Matthew Boyd (front, from left), Mason Boyd; (back) Christian Woodard and Daniel Woodard are the great-grandchildren of the late Buford and Alice Boyd, who lived in Hoxie.
Matthew and Mason are the grandchildren of Becky Brandon of Hoxie and Tracy and Vernon Moore of Sylvester, Ga. They are the children of Michael and Melissa Boyd of Walnut Ridge.
Christian and Daniel are the grandsons of Lisa and Jody Woodard of Walnut Ridge and Peggy and Norm Goad of Powhatan. They are the children of Pete and Tammy Woodard of Portia.

Allisons to mark
50 at Polar Freeze
The Polar Freeze, home of real pit barbecue in Walnut Ridge, will mark its 50th anniversary this summer under the ownership of Jack and Velma Allison. Jack bought the business from Thurlo Davis in 1958.
Through the years, Polar Freeze has been a gathering place for generations of present and former area residents, who often return to the drive-in or dine-in restaurant for a barbecue or cheeseburger.
Kellie Yates, the Allisons' daughter, is asking anyone with fond memories of the Polar Freeze to share their stories. Kellie has asked that former employees also send information about themselves, past and present day lives, and their experiences at the Polar Freeze.
These memories will be compiled in a book for the Allisons.
