SHHS honor grads announced
Mitch Walton, Sloan-Hendrix High School principal, has announced honor graduates of the Class of 2008.
The valedictorian is Katie Williams. She is the daughter of Warren and Melinda Williams of Imboden. She has a 4.00 grade point average and plans to attend Williams Baptist College in Walnut Ridge.
Amanda Patterson is salutatorian. She is the daughter of James and Sandra Patterson of Ravenden and plans to attend Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.
Honor graduates include: Nikki Steveson, daughter of Steve and Twyana Steveson of Imboden; Breanda Henry, daughter of Brenda Henry of Ravenden and Cliff Henry of Harrison; Emily Gipson, daughter of Pam and Allan Sharp of Imboden and Eddie and Jennifer Gipson of Pocahontas.
Also: Amanda Green, daughter of Johnny and Tammy Green of Ravenden; and Katelyn Morris, daughter of Wendell and Lavenia Morris of Ravenden.
"Each of these students has demonstrated academic excellence and will be recognized at the commencement exercises," Walton said. Graduation will be held in the Sloan-Hendrix Athletic Complex in Imboden at 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 16.
