Cats earn wins

Walnut Ridge defeated Marked Tree 8-3 in regular season action on April 22 at Walnut Ridge.
Bobcat pitchers Mitchell Thompson, Curtis Jackson and Bennett Dudley combined to hold the Indians to three runs. Thompson started and pitched four shutout innings, recording five strikeouts. Jackson and Dudley pitched the final three innings.
Jared Blackwell was 2-for-5 and scored two runs. Jackson batted 2-for-3, and Heath Kennedy had an RBI double.

Izard County Consolidated
The Bobcats traveled to Brockwell on April 21 and defeated Izard County Consolidated 6-1.
Brandon Dawson continued to be unbeatable on the mound, improving to 8-0 for the season with the complete-game win. He allowed one run on one hit, while striking out nine and walking four.
Thompson hit 2-for-4, including a home run, with three RBIs. Logan Gaither and Blackwell each had singles.
