WR beats Hillcrest

Walnut Ridge defeated Hillcrest 14-4 in high school baseball action on April 14 at Walnut Ridge.

Mitchell Thompson took the win on the mound to improve to 6-1 for the season. Thompson allowed four runs on three hits, with five strikeouts and four walks.

At the plate, Thompson had a two-run double in the second inning.

Walnut Ridge improved to 14-6 on the season and 7-1 in 2A-2 conference play.
