Cats defeat S-HDebbie RicheyStaff Writer The Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds hosted Walnut Ridge in 2A-2 conference baseball action on April 15. The Bobcats earned the road win 15-3 in six innings. Walnut Ridge grabbed a 5-0 lead in the first inning on Mitchell Thompson's three-run homer, and by Noah Burnside adding a two-run hit. The Bobcats added four runs in the second inning, two in the third, one in the fifth and closed with three runs in the sixth inning. Bobcat Curtis Jackson earned the win on the mound, allowing three runs on eight hits, while walking six and striking out three in six innings. Logan Gaither batted 3-for-4 and scored three runs. Jared Blackwell hit 3-for-4, with two RBIs. Thompson was 2-for-2, with four RBIs, and Bennett Dudley hit 2-for-4.
