Lady Bobcats beat Hillcrest

The Walnut Ridge Lady Bobcats defeated Hillcrest 11-0 in high school softball on April 14 at Lynn.
The Lady Cats scored one run in the first inning, five in the second, one in the third and four in the fourth to take the win.
Staci Spargo earned the win on the mound, pitching five innings and allowing three hits, while striking out five and walking one.
For Walnut Ridge, Ashley Baker batted 2-for-2, with three RBIs and scored a run. Jessica Osbahr was 2-for-3 at the plate, with an RBI and scored a run. Jordan Rorex recorded a hit, two RBIs and scored a run. Spargo and Alivia Hackworth each scored a run and had an RBI. Taylor Wagoner and Vanessa Oliver each scored two runs. Lindsey Simms and Josie Wagoner each scored a run.

games with Marmaduke
The Hoxie Lady Mustangs softball team earned their first win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Marmaduke in the first game of a doubleheader on April 15.

The Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds hosted Walnut Ridge in 2A-2 conference baseball action on April 15. The Bobcats earned the road win 15-3 in six innings.

Black Rock hosted Ridgefield Christian in a baseball doubleheader on April 15. The Zebras swept their visitors, winning the first game 10-0 and earning a 10-4 win in the nightcap.
