Lady Cats sweep S-H

Walnut Ridge hosted Sloan-Hendrix in a softball doubleheader on April 8. The Lady Bobcats earned a pair of shutout wins by scores of 15-0 in the opener and 10-0 in the nightcap.

Lady Cat Alivia Hackworth earned both wins on the mound. In the first game, she allowed one hit and struck out two in the three-inning, run-rule game.

Jordan Rorex hit 2-for-2, with an RBI, scored three runs and had three stolen bases. Jessica Osbahr went 2-for-4, with three RBIs, scored a run and had two stolen bases. Vanessa Oliver was 2-for-3, with an RBI and scored two runs, and Ashley Baker hit 2-for-2 and scored three runs.

Lindsey Simms notched a triple and had three RBIs. Staci Spargo scored two runs, and Hackworth recorded two RBIs. Taylor Wagoner scored a run and had a stolen base, and Carrie Massey scored a run.

In the late game, the Lady Bobcats earned the sweep, with Hackworth giving up two hits and striking out four.

Hackworth had a hit, scored a run and had three stolen bases, and Rorex had a hit, a stolen base and scored three runs. Osbahr had a hit, an RBI and scored two runs.
