Zebras beat Tuckerman
Staff Writer The Black Rock baseball team recorded its first victory of the season on Friday with a 10-7 win at Tuckerman. Chris Richardson pitched seven innings and earned the win, giving up one earned run and striking out seven. Jay Nunally led the Zebras' hitters, going 4-for-5, with two RBIs and a double. Joe Paul Carey had two doubles and three RBIs.
Black Rock lost to Armorel 10-0 on April 7 at Black Rock. Nunally took the loss from the mound, allowing 10 runs on eight hits, while striking out three and walking two in six and one-third innings. Richardson went 2-for-2 at the plate. Tyler Roby and Carey each had a hit.
