Bobcats manhandle Midland
The Walnut Ridge Bobcats defeated Midland 12-2 in 2A-2 conference baseball action on April 9 at Walnut Ridge. Walnut Ridge scored a run in the first inning and followed it up with four in the second to take an early 5-0 lead. The Bobcats added four runs in the fifth and two more in the sixth, ending the game due to the run rule. Brandon Dawson pitched all six innings for Walnut Ridge, allowing two runs on four hits, with six strikeouts and five walks. Mitchell Thompson led the Bobcat hitters, going 4-for-4 and driving in five runs. Logan Gaither went 3-for-4, with three RBIs and scored four runs, and Bennett Dudley batted 2-for-3. |
