Damir and Ramie Hudek of Jonesboro have announced the birth of a daughter on March 26, 2008, at St. Bernards in Jonesboro. The baby weighed five pounds, 11 ounces, and has been named Nadia Rae Hudek.
She has two siblings, McKay Thompson, 15, and Darrah Thompson, 11.

Trevor and Ashley McWilliams of Cabot have announced the birth of a daughter, born on March 27, 2008, at Baptist Health in Little Rock. The baby weighed two pounds, six ounces, and has been named Rebecca Lin McWilliams.

Josh Owens and Bridgett Lewis of Minturn have announced the birth of a son, born on April 4, 2008, at Northeast Arkansas Medical Center in Jonesboro. The baby weighed seven pounds, 11 ounces, and has been named Gabe Joshua Owens.

Joe and Leslie Rutledge of Walnut Ridge have announced the birth of a daughter, born on March 24, 2008, at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro. The baby weighed seven pounds, seven ounces, and has been named Lillie Mae Rutledge.
Grandparents are Robin and Bobbie Berry, Dave Fowler and Karen Patterson, all of Walnut Ridge, Debbie Rutledge of Hernando, Miss., and Jerry Rutledge of Nesbitt, Miss. Great-grandparents are Duke Snyder of Gleeson, Tenn., and T.L. and Maxine Reese of Black Rock.
Dustin and Morganne Stephenson of Walnut Ridge have announced the birth of a daughter, born on April 1, 2008, at Northeast Arkansas Medical Center in Jonesboro. The baby weighed eight pounds, and has been named Madelynne Piper Stephenson.
She has one sibling, Drake Nash.

Christopher and Amanda Thatcher of Walnut Ridge have announced the birth of a son, born on Feb. 22, 2008, at St. Bernards in Jonesboro. The baby weighed eight pounds, 11 ounces, and has been named Grayson Christopher Thatcher.

Scott and Linda Martin of Paragould announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Heather Lynn Martin, to Andrew Christopher Watson, son of Dan and Susan Watson of Walnut Ridge.
The bride is the granddaughter of Dorothy Jackson of Jonesboro, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Martin of Powder Springs, Ga., and the late Rev. Lendol Jackson.
She graduated from Paragould High School in 2004 and will graduate from Williams Baptist College in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in studio arts.
The groom is the grandson of Mr. And Mrs. Jay E. Mynatt of Charlotte, N.C., the late Bettye Coleman Mynatt and Dr. and Mrs. Harold Ray Watson of Byram, Ms.
He is a 2004 graduate of Walnut Ridge High School and will graduate from Williams Baptist College in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in psychology.
The couple will exchange vows on May 17, 2008, at 7 p.m. at the Williams Baptist College Chapel. A reception will follow in the Moody Dining Room.

Mart and Sherri Morgan of Lynn announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Sloane Allison Morgan, to Joshua Donnie Milgrim, son of Donnie and Denise Milgrim of Walnut Ridge.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jerry and Rita Morgan of Lynn, Loeta Sullivan of Bay and the late Bobby Sullivan.
She graduated from Lynn High School in 2001 and is a senior at Akransas State University in Jonesboro where she is seeking a bachelor's degree in mid-level education.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mable Ward, Onida Sullinger and the late J.D. Sullinger.
He is a 2000 graduate of Hoxie High School and 2001 graduate of Black River Technical College with a master welding certificate. Josh is employed by Unico Company in Memphis as the piping/welding crew lead supervisor.
The couple will exchange vows on June 25 at 6 p.m. in Maui, Hawaii.

JoAnn Barnett, 58, of Pocahontas, mother of Jess William Barnett of Walnut Ridge, died April 4, 2008, at St. Bernards in Jonesboro. Memorial services were Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cox-Waymon Funeral Home in Pocahontas.
Helen L. Browning, 52, of Walnut Ridge, died April 7, 2008, at the Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born Nov. 11, 1955, in East St. Louis, Ill., she was the daughter of Eugene and Bessie McKinney Hicks. She was a certified nurses assistant and of the Protestant belief.
Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Leezy, Illinois, and Theresa Martin, Hoxie; a stepdaughter, Ashley Huckabee, Ash Flat; a stepson, Joshua Huckabee, Ash Flat; a son-in-law, Thomas Ewald, Hoxie; a friend, James Huckabee, Walnut Ridge; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m. until noon at Bryan Funeral Home.
Phyllis Marie Fiedor, 63, of Stokes, died April 2, 2008.
Born Feb. 10, 1945, in Walnut Ridge, she moved to Chicago in 1956 and returned to Arkansas in 1976. She was a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal belief.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Lois Malden; a brother, Harlis Malden; and her mother and father-in-law, Chester and Helen Fiedor.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Richard Fiedor; her twin children, Sherry Bailey and husband Randy, Walnut Ridge, and Jeffry Fiedor and wife Rhonda, O'Kean; a brother, Tom Malden, Florida; a sister, Linda Ruiz, Paragould; three grandchildren, Jessica Bailey, Marissa Bailey and Taylor Fiedor; and two sisters-in-law, Virgie Guth, Illinois, and Carol Towery, Georgia.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. McNabb Funeral Home of Pocahontas will have charge of arrangements.
Tressie Lucille Godwin, 97, a resident of Lawrence Hall Nursing Center in Walnut Ridge, died April 2, 2008.
Born Jan. 17, 1911, in Hamil, she was the daughter of Ben F. and Jane Vandergriff Smith. She worked as a sales clerk at the Van Atkins store in Walnut Ridge for 20 years and was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include three stepsons, Clyde J. Godwin Jr., Bryant, Larry Godwin, Livermore, Calif., and Mike Godwin, Lodi, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Teresa Godwin Prince, Virginia City, Nev.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Saturday at 2 p.m. in Higginbotham Chapel with Rev. Leroy Scudder officiating. Burial was in Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service.
Helen Louise Griffin, 61, of Pocahontas died Sunday in Five Rivers Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 14, 1946, in Walnut Ridge and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wayne Griffin, and a sister.
She is survived by two sons, Darrell Griffin, Pocahontas, Dewayne Griffin, Walnut Ridge; a daughter, Tammy Wagner, Pocahontas; father, Alvin Warren, Little Rock; mother, Dorthy Green Warren, Walnut Ridge; brother, Darrell Warren, Guy; three sisters, Rose Ehrhardt, Alicia, Margie Hannah, Little Rock and Misty Villarreal, Lynn; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Dr. Doug Wheeler and Connie Gipson officiating. Burial will follow in Chesser Cemetery with Tommy Hufstedler, Branden Griffin, Dustin Hufstedler, Katun Dodd, Kaleb Dodd and George Morris serving as pallbearers.
Michael Housdan, 54, formerly of Walnut Ridge, died Feb. 26, 2008, in Lubbock, Texas, following a lengthy illness.
He was born April 12, 1953.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walker and Geneva Housdan; two brothers, Danny Housdan and Ted Housdan; and a sister, Judy Moody.
Survivors include a brother, Dennis Housdan, Charlottesville, Va.; and five sisters, Betty Murph, Mountain Home, Kitty Stringfellow, Little Rock, Vida Stallings, Black Rock, Carolyn Lamb, Ravenden Springs, and Lisa Bolt, San Antonio.
A private burial and graveside service were held at Lawrence Memorial Park.
Phillip Wayne Lane, 48, of Bay, died April 6, 2008, at St. Bernards in Jonesboro.
Born in Walnut Ridge, he had lived in Bay for the past six years and was formerly of Peach Orchard. He was a truck driver for Total Transportation, was a former employee of Delta Tool and Larry Owens Construction Co. and a member of the Lunsford Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Freddie Lane and Timmy Lane, and his parents, James W. and Betty Louise Machintoch Lane.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Dement Lane; a daughter, Monica Renee Tiner, Lake City; two sons, Bradley Wayne Lane, Memphis, and Zachary Heath Davis, Jonesboro; five sisters, Judy Andis, Corning, Norma Fields, Frogmore, S.C., Selah Bell, Lakeland, Fla., Debbie Hubbard, Lakeland Fla., and Jackie Smith, Bartow, Fla.; six brothers, Danny Lane, Lawrence, Mich., Jimmy Lane, Bangor, Mich., Mike Cagle, Boone, N.C., Terry Lane, Lakeland, Fla., Marty Lane, South Haven, Mich., and Johnny Lane, Pollard, and five grandchildren, Brenna Faerin Lane, Tristan Blake Lane, Jordan Heath Davis, Carma Mor Tiner and Slayton Chase Tiner.
Funeral services will be this morning at 10 at the Lunsford Baptist Church in Lunsford with the Rev. Larry Owens officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Log Cemetery at Brookland under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.
Pallbearers will be Michael Baker, Terry Jones, Shawn Hime, Barren Glover, Nathan Hogan, Mike Hogan and Herbert Butch Hime.

Janet Elwanda Nichols, 65, of Conway died April 5, 2008, at the Salem Place Nursing Home in Conway.
Born Aug. 9, 1942, in Sedgwick, she was a homemaker and a member of the Sedgwick United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.G. Nichols, whom she married Aug. 9, 1959; and her parents, Walter and Thelma Buchanan Lamb.
Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Shaw and husband Randy, Conway; a son, Tim Nichols and wife Angie, Sedgwick; a brother, Lloyd Lamb, Jonesboro; two sisters, Joan Bradley, Hoxie, and Rebecca Willcockson, Corinth, Texas; four grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside services was Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Old Military Cemetery in Sedgwick, with Bro. Marion Stringer officiating. Bryan Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Heath Shaw, Jeff Shaw, William Shaw, Chris Ridge, David Heslep and Dekota Heslep.
Frederick Ray "Woody" Prince I, 58, of Bono, father of Bobbi A. Johnson and husband Donald of Hoxie and grandfather of Colton and Brooke Johnson of Hoxie, died April 3, 2008, at St. Bernards in Jonesboro.
Burial was in Trinity Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.
Leo S. Rooker, 87, of Ravenden, died April 6, 2008, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Born June 26, 1920, at Sheboygan Falls, Wisc., he was the son of John and Mary Marcus Rooker. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Navy, and was a member of the Lions Club, Lawrence County Cattleman's Association and the Smithville United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Rooker.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Angeloff Rooker, whom he married Feb. 12, 1950; two sons, Tom Rooker, Watertown, Wisc., and John Rooker, Baltimore, Md.; two daughters, Lois Carr, Vine Grove, Ky., and Nancy Berry, Republic of Panama; a sister, Alice Klien Wassink, Sheboygan, Wisc.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Service will be today 11 a.m. at the Smithville United Methodist Church with Harold Russell and Bob McMillon officiating. Burial will be in the Smithville Cemetery under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home of Hoxie.
Visitation will be this morning from 10 until the service.
