Holder is 2008 Miss Mustang

Katherine Holder, daughter of Dennis and Judy Holder of Hoxie, was crowned Miss Mustang Saturday night.

Katherine Holder was crowned as the 2008 Miss Mustang during Hoxie High School�s annual pageant, which was held Saturday night at the Walnut Ridge Community Center. She is the daughter of Dennis and Judy Holder of Hoxie and represented FBLA.
Autumn Simpkins, who represented the Junior High Student Council was first runner-up and won the Talent Award. Second runner-up was Alex Brewer, who represented the Library Club.
Others who placed were: Whitlee Parrish, third runner-up, representing Quiz Bowl; Heather Ingram, fourth runner-up, representing the cheerleaders; and Amber Scott, fifth runner-up, representing Drama Club.
Kristen Jones, who represented the senior choir, was named Miss Congeniality.
Other contestants and their organizations were as follows: Katelyn Ellis, TCR; Elizabeth Whaley, YADDA; Whitney Bennett, Annual Staff; Chasity Becker, FFA; Shalicia Wilson, Senior Class; Raven Gates, Junior Class; Janna Henderson, Journalism; Ashley Ramsey, Spanish; Terren Prichard, Gifted & Talented; Amanda Simmons, Band; Dollie Maple, Select Choir; Katie Owens, Sophomore Class; and Trisha Bolton, FCCLA.
The Hoxie Choral Department sponsored the pageant, and it was directed by Carolyn Fowler and Nikki Davis.
