BR senior boys' season
ends with regionals loss

The Black Rock Zebras traveled to Mount Vernon to take on the Concord Pirates in the first round of the 1A Region 3 Basketball Tournament on Wednesday.
The game was close in the early going, as Concord held a 15-14 lead after the first quarter. The Pirates put some distance between themselves and the Zebras in the second quarter and took a 35-21 lead into halftime.
Concord continued applying relentless defense in the second half and increased their lead to 50-28 after three quarters. They went on to post a 64-42 win over Black Rock.
Les Foster led the Zebras with 17 points, three rebounds, an assist and a steal. J.J. Nunally closed with six points, four rebounds, two assists and a
steal. Garret Maronde and Khris Foster each had six points and two rebounds. Jonathan Rice contributed two points, a rebound and a steal.
Ben Walker notched two points, four boards and a steal. Chris Richardson topped out with two points, two rebounds and four assists. Hunter Horton closed with a free throw and four boards. Cager Ridge, Joe Carey and Cord Boggs each had a rebound. Trent Morledge and Tadd Fore each had an assist
