The Black Rock junior boys are Lawrence County champions. BR junior boys keep
perfect record with win
Black Rock and Sloan-Hendrix faced off in the finals of the junior high boys bracket.
The Zebras took a 12-6 first-quarter lead and remained in front during the second quarter, taking a 23-16 lead into halftime.
Black Rock took control of the game in the third period, moving out to a 38-23 lead. The Zebras notched the win 57-35 to capture the championship and keep their perfect record intact.
Hunter Horton led the Zebras with 16 points. Trent Morledge contributed 10 points, and Khris Foster notched nine. Joe Carey and Tadd Fore added eight points each. Tyler Roby closed with six points and 10 boards, and Korliss Moore recorded two points.
Coy Yasler led the Greyhounds with 13 points. Chase Dejournett added six points. Stetson Wells and Daniel Rowsey closed with five points each. Tyler Gillean and Lucas Conrad recorded three points each.
