games with Maynard

The Black Rock boys faced conference foe Maynard Thursday at Maynard.
The Maynard senior boys defeated Black Rock 52-49.
Ben Walker had 19 points to lead the Zebras, and Les Foster added 10.
Black Rock's junior high boys remained undefeated with a 65-30 win.
Black Rock exhibited their usual defense, taking a 24-17 lead at the close of the first quarter. The junior
Zebras continued to best the Tigers in the second period and took a 45-21 halftime lead.
Black Rock continued their strong play in the second half, holding a 61-23 lead and bringing the mercy rule into effect for the final quarter.
Black Rock was led by Tadd Fore with 17 points, three rebounds, four assists and three steals Joe Carey followed with 14 points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal. Trent Morledge contributed 11 points, four assists and a steal. Tyler Roby added 10 points, five rebounds, two assists and three steals.
Tyler Newell notched five points, four rebounds and an assist. Hunter Horton closed with four points, five boards, an assist and a steal. Kris Foster recorded two points, two rebounds and two steals. Matthew Stewart chipped in a free throw and had a rebound. Korliss Moore added two rebounds and a steal, and Cody Clairday had a rebound and a steal.
Ridgefield Christian
Black Rock hosted Ridgefield Christian on Senior Night on Jan. 22.
Ridgefield slipped out to a 12-8 first-quarter lead, but Black Rock rallied in the second quarter to move in front 22-18 at halftime.
The Warriors regained their footing in the third quarter and overtook the Zebras for a 39-28 lead. Black Rock neglected to hit the boards and fell to Ridgefield Christian 54-41.
Three Zebras scored in double digits, led by Foster with 12 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals. Nunally had 12 points and four rebounds. Richardson contributed 10 points, four rebounds and an assist.
Maronde chipped in four points, and had two rebounds. Walker closed with three points, three boards, six assists and five steals, and Whitmire recorded a rebound, an assist and a steal.
