Reese to seek re-election

Farrah Matthews Reese will be seeking a fifth term as the Lawrence County Assessor. Reese was an appraiser in the Assessor's office for five years prior to being elected as the County Assessor in 2000.
She has earned the highest national designation (CAE) as an ad valorem tax appraiser and is a member of both the Arkansas Assessor's Association and the International Association of Assessing Officers. Reese is currently serving as president of the Arkansas Chapter of the International Association of Assessing Officers.
"I have undertaken the duties of my office in an honest and professional manner and wish to continue serving as your assessor," she said. "I maintain an 'open door' policy. The residents of Lawrence County should continue to feel free to contact me for any questions regarding homestead credit benefits or real estate and personal property assessment."
Reese resides in the Black Rock/Powhatan area with her husband, Jeff Reese, and daughter, Madison.
