Walnut Ridge hosted Tuckerman in 2A-2 conference basketball action on Friday, posting two homecoming victories.
Rachel Looney scored 18 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the Lady Bobcats to a 55-49 victory over the Lady Bulldogs. Walnut Ridge led 16-10 after the first quarter, 31-23 at halftime and 40-32 after three quarters.
Also for Walnut Ridge, Alivia Hackworth scored 14 points, and Chelsea Treadway added eight. Vanessa Oliver and Chelsey Linebaugh had six points each, and Lacy Cobble had three.
The Lady Bobcats improved to 16-4 overall and 10-1 in conference play.
The Walnut Ridge senior high boys captured a 69-63 win over Tuckerman behind a 23-point performance from Bennett Dudley.
Mitchell Thompson finished with 16 points for the Bobcats, while Wesley Davis, Derek Medlock and Robert Rider added 10 points apiece.
Walnut Ridge is now 6-11 overall and 4-7 in the conference.
