"It has been an honor and pleasure to serve as Lawrence County treasurer," she said. "I enjoy the job, but most importantly, it gives me a good feeling at the end of each month to balance the county's books and to know every penny is accounted for. I have had good audits every year from the legislative auditors."
"I could not do all the work that is to be done in the office without the help of a good deputy treasurer, which I have in Marilyn Crafton. I very much appreciate her help," Harris said.
"In my tenure as your treasurer, I have attained my 30-hour certification and six 18-hour updates in the Continuing Education of Arkansas County Treasurer's Association," Harris added. "I have worked hard to do a good job and run the office in an efficient manner. I hope you will let me continue to work for you, the citizens of Lawrence County."
Harris is married to Larry Harris, and they have two married children and three grandchildren.
