Justices reject bids
on new courtroom

Justices also passed a resolution allowing the Lynn Volunteer Fire Department to apply for a GIF grant.

In other business the court:

• heard information on a grant for courtroom security, which was recently received.

• approved the purchase of a new car for the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department.

• elected Craig Stone as the county's delegate for the Quorum Court Association Delegation in Little Rock.

• heard the state of the county report from County Judge Alex Latham. He said everything went well in 2007 and the county finished in the black.
