BR girls win one, lose one

The Weiner Lady Cardinals defeated Black Rock 54-46 in senior high girls basketball on Thursday at Black Rock.
Weiner led 6-5 after the first quarter, but the Lady Zebras came back to tie the game 16-16 at halftime. Weiner eased out to a 31-29 lead after three quarters and held on for the win.
Jordan Fore, Whitney Martin and Stephanie Bagwell each had 11 points for Black Rock.

Viola
The Lady Zebra traveled to Viola on Dec. 11 and recorded a 54-30 win over the Lady Longhorns.
Ashley Stallings had 10 points for Black Rock.
