The Wings of Honor Museum will turn back the clock on Saturday, Dec. 1, with a Back to the '50s Night fund-raiser. The event, which is to be held at the Walnut Ridge Country Club, will include a wide range of nostalgic activities.
"We're going to have a lot of fun, and in the process we are supporting a great cause," said Sue Gibson, who is heading up the Back to the '50s Night. "The museum is a tremendous asset to our entire region. This event is a good way for us to provide some of the funds needed to develop it."
The Wings of Honor Museum commemorates the Walnut Ridge Army Flying School, which trained pilots during World War II and later served as a military radar station. The museum is located at the Walnut Ridge Regional Airport.
The Back to the '50s Night will include a dinner and dance, as well as an assortment of other activities, according to Gibson. Attire from the 1950s is optional.
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 1. Tickets are $25 each or $50 per couple. For tickets or for more information, contact Gibson at 870-809-0069 or Reta Covey at 870-268-2481. All board members for the museum have tickets, as well.
