Pocahontas teams top
WBC tourney bracket The boys and girls basketball teams from Pocahontas High School are top seeds of the 2007 Williams Baptist College Invitational. The tournament opens Nov. 24 at Williams.

Seeds in both brackets were selected by a vote of the tournament coaches. In the boys bracket, Pocahontas is followed by Riverside, which has won the championship the past two years, as the second seed. Marmaduke is the third seed, Hoxie is fourth and Corning is fifth.

Remaining seeds on the boys' side are Southside, sixth; Tuckerman, seventh; Viola, eighth; Walnut Ridge, ninth; Hillcrest, 10th; Black Rock, 11th; Sloan-Hendrix, 12th; and Maynard, 13th.

In the girls' bracket, Hillcrest is second, Southside is third, Walnut Ridge is fourth, and Hoxie is fifth. Hoxie won the championship at last year's tournament.

Rounding out the bracket are Viola, sixth; Maynard, seventh; Corning, eighth; Sloan-Hendrix, ninth; Tuckerman, 10th; and Black Rock, 11th.

This year will mark the 48th annual Williams Tournament. The invitational tourney is played in WBC's Southerland-Mabee Center.
