Several awards will be presented including Man and Woman of the Year, a community service award, business of the year and industry of the year.
Paragould Mayor Mike Gaskill will be the guest speaker. He has served as mayor since 1997 and is active in many aspects of the Paragould community.
He has served on the Paragould/Greene County Chamber of Commerce Board and was Christmas Parade Committee chairman from 1990-98. He has also been active in Kiwanis Club of Paragould, United Way of Greene County and Westview Baptist Church.
His service includes nearly 10 years on the Executive Committee of the Arkansas Municipal League. He is currently serving as president. He also serves on several local and state boards.
"The city of Paragould has really made progress since he has been mayor," Sherry Moore, chair of the banquet committee said. "He should be very informative with the added bonus that he is a very entertaining speaker."
New board members will also be introduced at the banquet.
A meal with choice of roast beef or Teriyaki baked chicken breast will be served. Cost is $15 per person. Those planning to attend must make reservations by Monday by calling the Chamber office at 886-3232.
"The banquet offers a great opportunity for our members to hear updates on what the Chamber is doing, recognize those who have received honors and visit with other business people," Moore said.
