The Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds recorded their first win of the basketball season with a 77-75 overtime win over Maynard on Oct. 30 at Imboden.
Maynard took an 18-13 lead over the Hounds at the end of the first quarter, but the Greyhounds fought back to tie the game at halftime. The game remained close throughout the second half, with the Hounds pulling out the win in overtime.
Royce Pace recorded a double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Trevor Anderson finished with 12 points, and Zack Ogden added 11. Austin Morgan added 10 points and seven rebounds.
Sloan-Hendrix also won the junior high game 44-34.
Sloan-Hendrix traveled to Mammoth Spring on Friday and were defeated by the Bears 52-48 in senior boys basketball.
Chad Orrick led the Hounds with 13 points, and Pace added 10.
Mammoth Spring defeated Sloan-Hendrix 45-41 in the junior high boys game.
