GALBREATH CROWNED QUEEN - Erica Galbreath was named Hoxie homecoming queen at the football game Friday night. She was escorted by her parents, Sharon and Jimmy Galbreath of Portia. Hoxie defeated the Brinkley Tigers for a homecoming victory.


New staff joins IACS

Three new professional staff members have joined the staff of Imboden Area Charter School for the 2007-08 school year according to Judy Warren, director of IACS.

"We are excited about the new staff members that have joined our professional team here at Imboden Area Charter School," Warren said, "and we expect their presence to enhance the overall outcome of each student." continued...

HHS to present Rails and Roots

Hoxie High School will present Hoxie: Rails and Roots on Nov. 2 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Rails and Roots is a celebration of the heritage of Hoxie that students in sixth through 12th grade have researched and produced.

Events include a showing of a recorded oral history of Hoxie. Anyone wishing to record their memories of Hoxie's past can also be recorded on that day. The histories will be saved on CD in the library for future use. continued...
