to air Saturday
The annual Kiwanis Radio Auction will be held Saturday beginning at 8 a.m. It will be broadcast over radio stations KRLW AM 1320 and FM 106.3 and continue until all items are sold.
Listeners are asked to tune in to these stations and bid on items by calling 886-7711 or 886-7720. Items and services donated by area business people and professionals will be auctioned.
Many of the auction items are listed on the Kiwanis Radio Auction advertisement on page 6A. More items are being added to the list.
The auction will take place at Regions Bank in Walnut Ridge. Kiwanians will serve as auctioneers, while Walnut Ridge High School Key Club members answer phones.
Winning bidders can pay for their auction items at Regions Bank during the auction or during regular banking hours next week.
"We are looking forward to a fun day and appreciate everyone's help," said Charles Lee, auction chairman. "We are grateful to area business people for their generous donations, to Combined Media radio stations for the broadcast time, to our faithful bidders and to the WRHS Key Club."
Money raised will be used for Kiwanis service projects, which mostly benefit Lawrence County children and youth.
