Mustangs scrimmage with Paragould

The Hoxie Mustangs traveled to Paragould on Aug. 21 for a senior high football scrimmage.

The Mustangs began their first drive of the game after recovering a Ram's fumble at Paragould's 45-yard line.

Six plays later, Hoxie's Tyler Thompson made it to the end zone from 10 yards out for the first score of the night. The extra point put the Mustangs ahead 7-0 with 6:30 left in the first quarter.

The scrimmage was tied 7-7 at halftime, and the Rams pulled away in the second half, taking the win 27-7.

In a junior high scrimmage, Hoxie fell to the junior Rams 44-8.
