Vickie Mitchell of Pulaski Bank has announced that both the Walnut Ridge and Hoxie locations are now matching gifts made to the Children's Shelter of Lawrence County. The bank will continue matching gifts through August 15.

People wanting to donate to the shelter can visit either the Hoxie or Walnut Ridge location of the bank, where containers have been set up for the donations. "We will double it," Mitchell said, adding that there is no maximum limit to the match.
Fund-raising events are continuing in the county to raise money to build a shelter that would temporarily house children displaced from their homes.
