GLENNS ARE FARM FAMILY
The Randy and David Glenn families of Lynn have been selected as the 2007 Farm Family of the Year for Lawrence County. The families include David and Christy Glenn (left) and their son, Braden (on tractor) and Randy and Belinda Glenn (right) and their daughters, Cassie (left) and Trisha. David and Christy were expecting their second son when this photo was taken. He was born Monday at St. Bernards and has been named Peyton Casper Glenn. A special section recognizing the Glenns will appear in the July 25 issue of The Times Dispatch.

The Walnut Ridge City Council held a special meeting on July 3 to decide a course of action concerning the Hoxie City Council's vote to annex property located along the Highway 63 bypass.
Justices award 911
Justices awarded a contract to a.c.t. GEOSPATIAL, Inc., aGI, for Phase II of the Lawrence County 911 project during their regular meeting on Monday evening.

Peyton Tennison, nine-month-old son of Bobby and Cassandra Tennison of Imboden, and Karlee Michelle Britton, eight-month-old daughter of Amber Britton and Logan Morse of Sedgwick, were named the finest baby boy and prettiest baby girl at the Portia Picnic on the Fourth of July.continued...
Highway 63 project
The portion of Highway 63 connecting Lawrence and Craighead counties will be complete within a month, according to Joe Barnett of the Arkansas State Highway Department.
