Imboden woman
dies in accident

Three people, including an Imboden resident, were killed in a three-vehicle accident on Highway 63, 1.2 miles north of Ravenden, in Sharp County on Friday night.

According to Cpl. Phillip Pickett of the Arkansas State Police, the accident, which occurred at 8:24 p.m., resulted in the deaths of Paula Renee Taylor, 38, of Imboden and Barbara Dehart, 50, and Charles Dehart, 51, both of Manila.

According to Pickett, a 1990 Oldsmobile, driven southbound on Highway 63 by Taylor, went out of control and crossed the centerline striking a northbound 2002 Ford Explorer causing it to spin out of control and come to rest in a ditch. The Oldsmobile then struck a northbound 1999 Pontiac Grand Am, driven by Barbara Dehart, head-on.

Taylor was ejected from her vehicle. Another passenger in the Dehart vehicle, Presley Dehart, age one, was taken to Fulton County Hospital in Salem and treated and released.
