Steve and Maranda Light of Minturn have announced the birth of their first child, a son, born May 1, 2007, at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro. The baby weighed six pounds, 12 ounces, and has been named Logan Riley Light.
Grandparents are Jackie Fultner of Hoxie, Eugene Fultner of Paragould and Gary and Karen Light of Minturn. He is the great-grandson of John and Jesse Fultner and Mary Abbott, all of Hoxie, and Jewell Couch of Portia.
David and Jeanna Mason of Senath, Mo., have announced the birth of a son, born May 20, 2007, at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro. The baby weighed seven pounds, four ounces, and has been named Glen Thomas Mason. He has an older brother, Roscoe Hays Mason, age three.
Grandparents are Carl and Beth Mason of Walnut Ridge and Kathleen Hays of Jonesboro.
Danny and Sandy Duncan of Walnut Ridge announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Brandi Duncan, to Blake Wade, son of Randy and Melody Wade of Walnut Ridge.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bill and Pearlene Franks of Walnut Ridge, Jay and Dorothy Liles of Light and Bob Duncan of Hoxie. She is a graduate of Walnut Ridge High School.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Delmar and Brenda Wade and Mary Kingcade of Walnut Ridge and the late Henry Kingcade. He is a graduate of Walnut Ridge High School and is employed at American Railcar in Paragould.
The couple will exchange vows on Saturday at 5 p.m. at the Main Street Church of Christ. All family and friends are invited.
Mr. and Mrs. William Meyer of Leavittsburg, Ohio, have announced the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Sandra Ann Meyer, to Dennis O'Neal Sneed, son of Mr. and Mrs. O'Neal Sneed of Strawberry.
The bride-elect is a 1984 graduate of LaBrae High School and a 1989 graduate of Youngstown State University. She is employed by JCPenney as a store manager in Batesville.
The prospective groom is a 1990 graduate of Strawberry High School. He is a master plumber for Smith Plumbing of Batesville.
The couple plan a July 7 ceremony at Bevens Music Hall on the campus of Lyon College in Batesville at 4:30 p.m. A dinner and reception will follow at the Batesville Country Club.
Rick Tate of Imboden and Lisa Bailey of Benton announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Chelsea Tate, to Ty Matheny, son of Terry and Darlene Matheny of Ravenden.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bob and Lorazell Tate of Walnut Ridge, Peggy Stalnaker of Imboden and the late Burl Stalnaker. She is a 2002 graduate of Sloan-Hendrix High School and a 2007 graduate of Arkansas State University. She is employed as a physical education teacher at Sloan-Hendrix School.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mack and Barb Matheny of Ravenden and the late Buel and Marie Cooper. He is a 2005 graduate of Sloan-Hendrix High School and is employed at Artco.
The couple will exchange vows on Saturday at 6 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at Annieville. All family and friends are invited to the wedding and reception, which will follow in the fellowship hall.
Lloyd D. Myatt, 59, of Byron, Ill., formerly of Rockford, Ill., died May 23, 2007, at his home.
Born Oct. 22, 1947, in Walnut Ridge, he was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked for Quaker Oats for 22 years and for Rockford Memorial Hospital for 12 years, until his retirement in 2005.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Polly Crider Myatt; and a brother, Walter.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Cantwell-Miller Myatt, whom he married on March 25, 1978, in Rockford; a son, Steven Voyles and wife Tammy, Rockford; a brother, Billy Myatt and wife Theda, Jonesboro; a sister, Kathren Lipps and husband Estill, Byron, Ill.; and a granddaughter, Alyssa.
Funeral was Tuesday at Delehanty Funeral Home Ltd. in Loves Park, Ill., with Rev. Jerry Hall officiating. Burial was in Stillman Cemetery.

Grace Osburn, 92, of Walnut Ridge, died May 25, 2007, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 29, 1914, at Lynn, she was the daughter of Edward and Ora Lee Segraves Hedrick. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Walnut Ridge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bowen Osburn, on Nov. 1, 1988.
Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Osburn, Little Rock; a son, Harold William Osburn, Torrance, Calif.; a brother, Devoe Hedrick, Texarkana, Texas; a sister, Nell DeStefano, Laguna Woods, Calif.; three grandchildren, Tamara Rosen, Cindy Koch and Andrea Osburn; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Higginbotham Chapel with Carl Cate officiating. Burial was in Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service.
O.D. Richey, 80, of Benton, died May 24, 2007, in the VA hospital at Little Rock.
Born at Eaton, he was the son of Elmer H. and Alice Tretenburg Richey.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie; and an infant brother, J.D.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Biederman Richey; a son, Rick Richey and wife Susie, Morrilton; a daughter, Cathy Hunt, Benton; three brothers, Coy Richey, Black Rock, Lloyd Richey, Powhatan, and J.W. "Dub" Richey, Smithville; two sisters, Opal Murphy, Yuba City, Calif., and Hazel Hubbard, Black Rock; two granddaughters, Nicole and Cathy Jo; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
