LawCo. players named All-State

Lawrence County is well represented among those selected to the All-State softball and baseball teams. A total of seven players received All-State honors from county teams, according to the Arkansas Activities Association.

In the 3A classification, Hoxie's Rachel Goff, a 2007 graduate, was selected for softball honors.

Those making the 2A All-State baseball team include Chris Logan of Walnut Ridge and Jared Cook of Hillcrest, both of whom are 2007 graduates.

Softball honors for the 2A classification went to Walnut Ridge's Staci Spargo, who is a freshman, and Jessica Broadway of Hillcrest, a junior.

In the 1A classification, Black Rock had two selections from its baseball team, Matt Chadwick, a 2007 graduate, and junior Mitchell Thompson.
