Hillcrest to be represented
in All-Star softball game
Hillcrest High School's Jessica Jarrett of Smithville has been selected by the coaches association of the Arkansas Activities Association to play in the All-Star softball game June 20 at the University of Arkansas. She will report to her coaches there on June 17.
Jarrett has been named All-Conference her junior and senior seasons at Hillcrest. At this year's athletic banquet, the third base player received the following softball awards: Batting Average, On Base Percentage, Most Runs Scored and Most Stolen Bases.
The Lady Screamin' Eagles softball coach, Shawn Rose, has also been selected to participate in the All-Star game. He will serve as a coach for the East team, of which Jarrett is a member.
