WR SELECTS BOYS STATE ATTENDEES
Walnut Ridge High School's Boys State delegates have been named. They are (from left): John Phillip Monkus, Ryan Caldwell and Matthew Hibbs. Arkansas Boys State will be held June 3-8 at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. The American Legion's Boys State program is among the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for high school students. It is a participatory program where each delegate becomes a part of the operation of his local, county and state governments.
WR GIRLS STATE REPRESENTATIVES SELECTED
Walnut Ridge School has named its delegates for Girls State including (from left): Rachel Looney, Janie Walter, Jessica Osbahr and Cassie Jones. Arkansas Girls State will be held June 3-8 at Harding University in Searcy. Girls State, sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary, provides citizenship education for nearly 20,000 of America's female High School juniors each year.
