Tyler Thompson (left) and Travis Davis have been selected as Hoxie High School's Boys State participants. The American Legion describes the Boys State Program as a leadership action program where qualified male high school juniors take part in a practical government course designed to develop in them a working knowledge of the structure of government.

Shalicia Wilson (left) and Jessica Barber have been selected as delegates from Hoxie High School for the Girls State program. The American Legion Auxiliary describes Girls State as a nonpartisan program that teaches young women responsible citizenship and love for God and Country. High school girls, who have completed their junior year, spend a week of study working together as self-governing citizens at Auxiliary-sponsored Girls State programs.
