Mustangs fall
in tournament

The Hoxie Mustangs fell to the Cave City Cavemen 17-1 in the 3A Region 3 baseball tournament at Harrison on Saturday.
Hoxie recorded their run in the first inning when Jonathan Lawrence walked and took second on a sacrifice. He then stole third base and scored on a wild pitch.
Cave City recorded two runs in the first inning, five runs in the second, six in the third, and four runs in the fourth.
Tanner Jarrett took the loss on the mound.
Billy Mike Watson and Blaine Middlecoff each had a hit for the Mustangs.
