Hoxie girls have busy week

Hoxie hosted Valley View's Lady Blazers in high school softball on Friday. The Lady Blazers defeated the Lady Mustangs 4-3.

Offensively for Hoxie, Rachel Goff recorded a triple. Holly King hit 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Katherine Holder batted 2-for-3 with a single. Jessica Barber had a single. Ashley Glenn hit 1-for-2 with a single and an RBI. Shalicia Wilson and Shayla Coats both closed the day with singles.

Brookland

Hoxie fell to Brookland 3-1 in the first game of a softball doubleheader on April 3 at Hoxie.

Kelsey Dobbs recorded five strikeouts for Hoxie.

The second game was called in the first inning with Hoxie leading 1-0.

Holly King had a single and a stolen base, and Tabitha Weaver had an RBI.

Piggott

The Lady Mustangs traveled to Piggott on April 2 and dropped a 6-4 decision to the Lady Mohawks.

Rachel Goff batted 2-for-3 and had five stolen bases. Shalicia Wilson hit 1-for-3 with an RBI, and Dobbs hit 1-for-4.
