RandCo. Tourism group visits
WRAFSM, Parachute Inn
Frank Wilson points out the guns, which are still in working condition, on a Cobra helicopter, on display at the Walnut Ridge Army Flying School Museum to Kimberly Williams, travel writer for the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism, and Walnut Ridge Mayor Michelle Rogers.
Members of the Randolph County Tourism Association, along with travel writers from Arkansas and Missouri, visited the Walnut Ridge Army Flying School Museum and the Parachute Inn recently.
Their visit was part of a tourism project focusing on Northeast Arkansas including Wynne, Batesville, Ash Flat, Hardy and Pocahontas.
Writers from the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism and several national travel magazines toured the museum following breakfast on the Boeing 737 at the Parachute Inn restaurant. continued...

A two-vehicle accident on Monday in Greene County, just south of Sedgwick on Highway 63, resulted in the deaths of two Walnut Ridge residents, according to Trooper Doug Thomas of the Arkansas State Police.
