Sean Patrick Patterson, three months, and Connor Lynn Patterson, 18 months, are the children of Donnie and Heather Patterson of Davenport, Iowa.
They are the grandchildren of Randy and Donna Patterson of Alicia and the great-grandchildren of Jack and Nita Patterson of Clover Bend and Ann and Kemmel Eldridge of Alicia.
Great-great-grandparents are Allene Mann of Lawrence Hall Nursing Center and Jack and Nina Simpkins of Pangburn.
In the latter portion of our Northwest Airlines flight from Minneapolis to Memphis, Saturday night, it was a pleasant surprise to hear the captain announce that we would be flying in a path from Springfield, Mo., and over Walnut Ridge, Ark., before landing in Memphis. I recall a relative saying that "flying over Walnut Ridge" was mentioned once when she was on a commercial air flight. I assume our airport has a notable presence in the aviation world.
Co-op offers CPEP program
The Northeast Arkansas Educational Cooperative will once again sponsor a free College Preparatory Enrichment Program (CPEP) at several different area sites this summer to help improve students' ACT scores.
