Baseball Zebras record
three blowout victories

Black Rock routed Ridgefield Christian 29-1 in high school baseball on Thursday at Jonesboro.
The Zebras led 4-1 after three innings, but exploded for 25 runs in the fourth and fifth innings to put the game away.
Chris Richardson was the winning pitcher, allowing one run on four hits, with 12 strikeouts and two walks.
Offensively, Mitch Thompson went 3-for-6 with three runs scored and five RBIs. Tommy Lawrence and Blake Meeks each had two hits and two
RBIs. Logan Orrick had two hits and three RBIs.
Black Rock swept a doubleheader from the Maynard Tigers by scores of 15-0 and 22-1.
In the first game, Thompson earned the win for the Zebras, allowing one hit, striking out eight and allowing no walks.
Thompson also batted 2-for-3 with five RBIs. Orrick had a triple and two RBIs.
Orrick earned the win in the 2nd game. He pitched three innings, allowed three hits, struck out seven and walked one.
Nathaniel Aaron batted 3-for-3 with three doubles and three RBIs.
