Cats win one, lose two

Walnut Ridge defeated Rector 16-5 in high school baseball Friday at Walnut Ridge.
The fourth inning was owned by the Bobcats, scoring nine runs and changing the momentum of the close match.
Bobcat Ryan Weir pitched four innings, allowing four runs and striking out six.
Jared Blackwell, Chris Logan and William Wilcoxson each recorded three RBI's, and Tyler Kennedy earned two RBIs.
Walnut Ridge was shut out by Valley View 10-0 on Thursday at Jonesboro.
The Bobcats' Brandon Dawson pitched four innings and allowed seven hits, seven runs, two walks, with four strike outs. Ryan Sluder pitched one inning, allowing two hits, three runs and one walk.
Tom Jackson batted 1-for-2.
The Bobcats hosted Pocahontas on March 5 and fell to the Redskins 14-3.
Logan Gaither batted 1-for-3, with a hit and scored a run and had a stolen base. Wilcoxson batted 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and scored a run. Weir batted 2-for-4 with a double and scored a run. Logan batted 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Noah Burnside, Jared Blackwell and Jackson each batted 1-for-4.
Tyler Kennedy pitched five innings, allowing nine hits, eight runs, two walks and striking out four. Logan pitched an inning-and-a-half, allowing five hits, six runs, four walks and striking out two.
