Zebras defeat Mammoth Spring
Black Rock's Tommy Lawrence hits the dirt as he slides into base during the Zebras' game against Mammoth Spring. Black Rock had an easy time with the Bears, defeating them 20-3.
Black Rock defeated Mammoth Spring 20-3 in high school baseball at Black Rock on Friday.
Black Rock's Mitchell Thompson knocked a pair of three-run home runs, and earned seven RBI's. Adam Whitmire went three-for-three, with two doubles and three RBI's. Matt Chadwick went two-for-three, with two doubles and two RBI's.
Zebra Chris Richardson earned the victory, striking out six, walking eight and allowing no hits in the three innings of the run-rule match.
Black Rock opened the 2007 baseball season with a 10-2 loss at Tuckerman last week.
Tuckerman's Alex Sullins allowed two runs on two hits and seven walks, and struck out 15.
