Hillcrest boys' season ends

Hillcrest faced the White County Central Bears in the first round of the 2A-2 District Basketball Tournament at Cedar Ridge on Feb. 12.
Hillcrest trailed 22-13 in the first quarter. Despite the Screamin' Eagles attempts, the Bears continued to hold a 31-22 halftime lead.
After the teams returned to the hardwood, WCC took charge of the court leading 49-32 over the Eagles. WCC took the victory 71-47 to end Hillcrest's season.
Jordan Hunter led the Eagles with 15 points. Patrick Corder contributed 10 points, and Aaron Britton notched seven. Dustin Durham chipped in six points. Jared Cook and Jared Parker closed with two points each, and Chris Blevins recorded a free throw.
