Gibson appointed city
attorney for Hoxie
During their regular monthly meeting on Thursday evening the Hoxie City Council approved an ordinance appointing Bobby Gibson city attorney. The council opened the position for bids in January.
John Bristow, a sales representative from Done Right Seal and Stripe Asphalt Repair, presented information to the council on cost of repair to city streets. No action was taken by the council.
Will Tate, the fire chief of operations addressed the council, updating them on the new fire department. The council approved the use of $4,170.66 of reuse money to pay the remaining balance due on the building.
The council also adopted section four and five of the Personnel Policy Handbook.
Mayor Donnie Roberts informed the council that Anna Turner has been hired as dogcatcher for the city.
