Hoxie girls defeat S-H

Hoxie traveled to Imboden Friday to take on Sloan-Hendrix in senior girls basketball action.

The Lady Greyhounds held an 11-10 lead at the close of the first quarter, but Hoxie stepped up in the second quarter and moved out to a 24-17 lead at halftime.

Back on the court, the Lady Mustangs continued to hold a 34-26 lead as the fourth quarter approached. Hoxie went on to record a 54-39 road win over the Lady Greyhounds.

Hoxie's Jessica Anglin recorded a triple-double with 14 points, 15 rebounds and 12 steals. Rachel Goff had 22 points, and Megan Black added 12.

Christie Caldwell led Sloan-Hendrix with 11 points.
