The Hoxie boys and girls junior high basketball teams competed in the 3A-3 District Tournament last week at Corning.

The junior Lady Mustangs advanced to the championship game before falling to the Hughes junior Lady Blue Devils 41-37 on Saturday.

"The girls worked extremely hard all year long and finished the season with a 14-9 overall record. They were the Lawrence County Champs and the 3A-3 District Tourney runners-up. I am very proud of this talented group of players," said head coach Larry Forrester.
