LawCo. players earn
NEA Tourney honors
Several Lawrence County basketball players received individual honors at the conclusion of the Northeast Arkansas Invitational Tournament at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.
The Hillcrest Lady Screamin' Eagles made it to the finals of the 1A-2A bracket and had three team members named to the All-NEA team. Breanna Doyle, Jessica Broadway and Whitney Jones were selected for the honor.
In 3A play, the Hoxie Mustangs and Lady Mustangs both made it to semifinal action. Both teams had representatives selected to the all-tournament teams.
For the Lady Mustangs, Jessica Anglin, Megan Black and Rachel Goff were all selected. Mustangs Tanner Jarrett and Ray Volner also received All-NEA honors.
Sloan-Hendrix High School was honored with a post-tournament award, as well. The school was selected to receive the Paul Hoffman Sportsmanship Award in the 1A-2A bracket.
