Hoxie to issue Minturn
Sewer, Water a refund

At their regular meeting on Dec. 12, Hoxie City Council approved a refund for Minturn Sewer and Water. They have been overpaying Hoxie for services.

In other business:

Mayor Paul Hendrix commended the fire department on a job well done on the city parade.

Hendrix updated the aldermen on the acceptance of Terry Ponder's street inside city limits, saying that all the paperwork has not been completed. It will have to be done after the first of the year.

Bobby Gipson recommended that the council take bids for the position of city attorney. Gipson said he is still interested in the position, but feels that taking bids would be the correct way to handle the situation. The issue was tabled for further study.
